Casa Gracia Barcelona, one of the most celebrated accommodations in the City of Counts, begins a new chapter after transforming into Room Casa Gracia, the flagship of Room Urban Hostel, a brand under the Room00 Group.
REQUENA Y PLAZA has carried out the comprehensive refurbishment and furniture supply, culminating in the update of this emblematic and iconic asset located in the heart of Paseo de Gracia.
The intervention responds to the evolution within the hospitality industry, where spaces are no longer conceived solely as accommodation, but as environments capable of creating experiences, connecting with the contemporary traveller, and strengthening brand identity.
Located within a historical building, Room Casa Gracia retains the architectural essence that made it a benchmark in Barcelona, while introducing a renewed image. The outcome is a proposal where heritage elements and contemporary interior design harmonise, giving rise to dynamic, accessible spaces adapted to various guest profiles.
The rooms stand out for a casual, cosmopolitan aesthetic in which colour plays a leading role. Vibrant tones, such as varying blues and greens, dialogue with original mouldings, large windows, and pre-existing architectural elements, creating a recognisable visual identity that breaks away from traditional urban accommodation codes.
The design is completed by furniture with simple, functional lines, industrial-inspired lighting, and graphic elements integrated into the interior architecture itself, adding personality to every room. In the public areas, the intervention highlights the building's authenticity by preserving original materials and textures, which are combined with new decorative elements and equipment solutions that encourage social interaction and versatile spaces.
